How I can access Microsoft 365?

Answer

As a student, you will need to use several different software programs to complete your class assignments. You can access the programs you need on any College computer.

Microsoft Office can also be accessed on your own devices for free - all you need is internet access!

Log into the MySJRState Portal in the upper-right hand corner of our homepage, SJRState.edu, as Illustrated in steps (A) and (B):

After logging into the portal, you’ll need to navigate to the “Student E-mail” page. (C) Faculty and Students should have access to the Student E-mail system. If you have issues logging into the portal, or your Office link fails, please contact the Helpdesk (info at bottom of this article) for assistance.

After logging into the Student E-mail system, click the Grid Icon (D) in the upper-left hand corner of your Outlook page:

The list that opens will allow you to access the Online/O365 versions of your Microsoft Office suite. These can be used online without installation. If you need to install these products to your machine, you will need to follow the next section's instructions.

Office365: Install MSOffice Products

To install these applications on your computer, click the Grid icon (D) in the top-left of your student e-mail or currently open Office 365 page, then click on “Office 365” (E)

On the following page, (F) click the “Install Office” link in the upper-right corner, then “Office 365 apps”. The page that follows will provide instructions from Microsoft for installing the downloaded item on your device. Sign in with your xxxx@Vikings.SJRState.edu
